I don't know if its since the lastest version that I keep getting registry corruption messages, I uninstall them restart and they work only to drop off again.

First my laptop DVD so I tried my ext DVD and ext Blu-ray a minute ago and now their copping the same **** as well.

I turned it off tonight been bedtime.

But is anybody experiencing or have experienced have this because I'm getting frustrated and panicky that I can't find an answer to this.

Only since this 2002 update a few days ago (which I was told by the status bar I'll have to restart so I stupidly did, I didn't make the PC ask for the update I felt it was forced upon me and there was no choice to refuse) have things started going wrong, I got PD that it took 20 GB driving me down to 99 GB then some smarty said get rid of the Old Windows folder, I didn't think it might be a silly suggestion with a consequence, but i let Disk Cleanup have a clean I tried with all ticks and got my 20 GB back, discovered the Old Windows folder gone so thought i played with some discs which I hadn't played for 2 months and now this **** has started.

The reason I got PD is that my old Windows 7 kept getting automatic updates and couldnt get rid of them that over time it accumulated up to 60 GB, and now the same scenario is going to happen and with around 120 GB and if I don't deal with it gulp I'll have no GB left.

Should I reinstall windows shouldi go back to the shop and get it fixed.

Have I done it myself by removing the Old Folder or is it the update.

I know someone said if the Old Folders gone I'm screwed.

Is there any way to control future big updates rather than letting them build up and now knowing to do with them can't I just delete a few just to get some space back.

Given it's a 250 GB should get a larger drive.

I have not tinkered with any settings whatsoever.

Otherwise the Laptop and any USBs work fine.
