Forgot password

I am trying to get into my old Dell laptop that is running Windows XP (yeah, I know ..) I have forgotten the password and, when I entered the wrong one, the systems says "Did you forgot your password?", but does not give me a way to reset it. Can you help (and I will download Windows 10, if possible, when I get in).
