broken Favorites folder icon!

Don't know how it happened. Noticed one day the 'Favorites' folder icon
in Explorer is not what is used to be. Now it is white with a folded
(dog-ear) tab and a MS logo. Anybody know how to get it back to a yellow
folder (and I think with a blue star)?

Thanks

http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/tweakui

be sure to get the version that's right for your operating system

Yea, glad you got it fixed. My own icon for Favorites is the right one &
always has been. That's interesting... in Windows Explorer, I cannot see
a Desktop.ini in "C:\WINDOWS\Favorites". However, it is accessible in a
DOS box, & here it is...

C:\>type C:\WINDOWS\Favorites\Desktop.ini

[.ShellClassInfo]
CLSID={1A9BA3A0-143A-11CF-8350-444553540000}

[ExtShellFolderViews]
{5984FFE0-28D4-11CF-AE66-08002B2E1262}=%windir%\web\favorite.htm

....And here is the Registry key that defines that CLSID. This is also
the only mention of that CLSID in my Registry...

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{1A9BA3A0-143A-11CF-8350-444553540000}]

Thanks or Good Luck,
There may be humor in this post, and,
