My motherboard can't install Windows from USB

Hello

I'm upgrading from a notebook and building a PC. The motherboard is Gigabyte B550M. The hard drive is a new fresh empty SSD.

I wanted to install Windows 10, and I've gone through the media creation process from another Windows laptop and have prepared the USB drive.

If I insert this USB drive in the new computer with no operating system, all I see after booting is the 4-pane Windows Logo and it's been like that for an hour.

If I insert the same USB drive with Linux Ubuntu 16.04 ISO installed on it, it boots all the way to the Ubuntu operating system.

There isn't a way to disable Secure Boot on this computer (I have CSM enabled which should disable Secure Boot) and I don't know why that should matter if I can boot Ubuntu fine. It seems it is only a problem with the Windows Media Creation tool.

I don't have a DVD drive, what other ways do I have to install Windows? Can I install Windows after installing Ubuntu without booting from USB?
