Received call from "Windows IT" saying the computer was sending error messages. Asked me to press the control key and type R. Which for some stupid reason I did. They read off the IP address for this computer so I thought that it was a legit call. In the open box they asked me to type CMD and then wanted me make more changes. I asked them to call back later as this isn't my computer. After the typing the R, I do not remember what was in the open box.... but it now says CMD... can I change it back?
Understand that this call was a phissing call and not legit... the call was from an area code 574 (Indiana).
What can I do now?
