Windows 10 says USB Printer driver not available for Epson

My Epson Stylus Photo 870 printer worked perfectly well on Windows 7, but does not auto download a driver for W10. Epson say it is compatible and that W10 will auto install it on boot up. This does not happen - in Printers and Scanners it is just shown as a greyed-out 'USB Printer' with 'driver not available'. Is there any way to - I'm guessing - emulate W7 in some way? To get the printer working again?
