I cannot change my Windows 10 Ethernet Network to Private [Home version 2004].
I click on Unidentified Network No Internet to open the Settings Network and Internet.
I click on Unidentified Network No Internet to open the properties for Unidentified Network.
It gives me options to set it as a metered connection, IP Settings (which are Automatic DHCP), and Properties -- Link Speed, Manufacturer, Description, Driver version, and Physical Address (MAC).
Unlike this screen on WiFi it does NOT give me the option to set the network as public or private. Would a little consistency be too much to ask for from a company with Microsoft's resources? OK, rant over.
So how do I change this cotton-picking thing? I've spent an hour chasing down something that should have taken me 30 seconds. If anyone can tell me how to do this quickly and easily I'd be most appreciative.
