Hi,
I've had this PC for nearly two years now without any issues.
I just installed the latest Microsoft updates a few days ago and ever since then, my PC has been experiencing several issues. The dreaded "blue screen of death." and periodic freezing.
My PC occasionally freezes indefinitely (with no blue screen) and the only way to fix it is shut it down with the power button and reboot.
The blue screen keeps popping up after I leave my PC idle for 5-10 minutes. It has never happened to me while I'm actively using the computer.
The freezing has happened several times while I'm just browsing the internet.
I play a lot of PC games and as of now, I have never experienced any of these issues while playing. I can game for hours without a problem. The blue screens and freezing seem to only happen while the PC is idle or under very light load.
Windows is up to date.
My BIOS is up to date.
Drivers are all up to date.
I don't manually overlock anything. My motherboard has built-in auto-overclocking functionality for the cpu. I've had this setting enabled for two years now and it hasn't caused any problems before.
Nothing is overheating.
No idea what the problem is. Any assistance would be appreciated.
