Hi
I have spent hours trying to fix the problem with my camera, (I am using the Intel(R) AVStream Camera that is built into my Surface Book 3), google search after google search but nothing is working.
The camera will not turn on with Windows Hello to unlock my computer. The camera app is showing a black screen(I've checked for updates in the Microsoft store). The red light next to the camera is always on. If I get lucky and the camera turns on in the camera app, it shows nothing, and when I exit the app the white light does not turn off until I shut down my computer. According to Device Manager, the Intel(R) AVStream is working, but it very clearly is not. This is unlike any problem that is showing in previous forums or questions. Below is a list of solutions I've tried.
1. Updating drivers (they are up to date)
2. Uninstalling and reinstalling the webcam
3. Restarting and shutting down my computer multiple times
4. Using the app "Get Help" for troubleshooting
5. Deleting and reinstalling the Camera app as well as checking for updates
I would also like to note that the option to "Roll Back" in the camera properties in Device Manager is unavailable.
None of these have worked
For online school, I need a functioning camera so it is rather important that I fix this.
Please Help
thanks
