My parents, ages 81 and 77, purchased a new computer. The default web browser is Microsoft Edge. On their previous computer, which had Windows XP installed, they had a fairly simple process to connect to the internet.
The new computer forces them to:
Microsoft Edge isn't any friendlier in regards to this either.
Living in a very rural area, they have no access to high speed or wireless internet. They are limited to 28.8k speeds over the existing phone lines. How do I set Internet Explorer to prompt for the "dial-up" connection. Or how do I configure Microsoft Edge to do this? Is there a patch or upgrade I can download at home, take to their computer and install? We tried settings and troubleshooting apps. I couldn't find a valid answer while searching the web.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kenny
