Windows could not search for new updates errors found code 80072EFE

i just recently got this Lenova laptop and it has been reset so its running on Windows 8. Due to this, I don't have access to the app store. When I try to update windows I get errors found code 80072EFE. I have been trying to fix this for hours. Please help!
