Hi everyone this is my first time posting here.
I randomly checked my windows defender one day and found it to be shut down and not running. When I click the protection history on the Windows security app it just crashes at the same time the security app is just blank. Scanning for viruses doesn't work as the scan is just stuck at 0 seconds permanently loading but nothing happens. Looking around the app everything has been turned off, real time protection is off and so are the other options, The buttons to turn them on are grayed out so I can't click them.
The same issue also applies to windows update but whenever I click update history or the update settings icon it just freezes the entire window. Also I can't seem to install any apps from the windows store, it tells me to update my laptop because it can't detect my system.
I've tried running the Dism and Sfc checks on the CMD and they all showed nothing is wrong with my system. I tried deleting malwarebytes because some people said it might interfere but both are still not working.
