Windows 7, Media Player Cd Ripping (for Mp3 player reloading purposes), Broken?!?

I lost many ripped songs/albums from my entire computer with no way to possibly recover said music. but I just tried to rip a perfect and pristine studio copy of an album, to begin rebuilding my beloved library. But a message saying;

"Windows Media Player cannot rip one or more tracks from the CD." pops up.

So am I completely out of luck or can this be fixed somehow?
