When I boot up, my mouse pointer moves too slowly. There are also scrolling problems, problems with hover not working in some programs, and the mouse properties app from Control Panel won't work right.
When I go to the mouse properties dialogue and go to the pointer options tab, the slider for pointer speed won't work. I can't move it toward the fast end. If I click on the fast end of the slider track, the pointer speed does increase enough to be useful. But if I click apply or close the mouse properties box, the pointer slows down again
I also can't set the number for how many lines to scroll with one click of the wheel. When I try, the number just goes right up to 100 and can't be reset.
I am using an Anker wireless vertical mouse and an MS Trackball Explorer. Both worked well, in Win 8.1 until about 2 weeks ago. I thought upgrading to
Win 10 Home might help, but it didn't.
I'm hoping someone will know what to do.
