Hello,
After upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 my WiFi disconnects 2-3 times per day.
I have an ASUS X750JB
I have installed QUALCOMM WLAN 10.0.3.456 from this site Latest ASUS drivers for Windows 10 - Official links - Ivan Ridao Freitas
but I am not sure if should have installed the RealTek driver.
If I use Speccy, it tells me :
Connected through Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter
I am not sure if this is because I installed the driver or if it was like this before.
I am also using Avast Free Antivirus and my internet router (from provider) works on 2.4 and 5 ghz.
On Assus site, no help on the driver page.
Questions :
How can I check which driver I should have installed ?
If I install the RealTek driver without uninstalling the Qualcomm driver, will that cause problems ?
Should I use the 5ghz wi-fi band ?
Some say I should use WPA2 (aes) for the router connexion? would that help ?
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thank you,
Alex
