For the past several weeks, my internet has been dropping out every few minutes.
Only my laptop is having these issues; no other phones or computers are experiencing the network issues.
When it cuts out, I see a host of 4004 events in event viewer, but not much else. The Windows Network Diagnostics troubleshooter gives the same problem whether or not the internet connectivity has dropped out: "Windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy settings"
I have tried the following solutions without any luck:
1. flushing the dns with ipconfig
2. resetting windows sockets and tcp/ip settings with netsh
3. Verifying that I don't have any proxy set
4. Updating driver
5. Uninstalling network adapter, then scanning for hardware changes to reinstall it
Is there another place I should be looking for more detailed logs of what is going on?
Any ideas as to what may be happening?
Thanks!
