Trouble with Vista GP to deploy printers

G

George Spiro

I am using Group policies to deploy printer. I use the following Group
policy value:

Computer Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Printer Connections

and at that point I simply map the printer \\<Server>\<SharedName Printer>

The problem occurs that all my HP laserjet 4350 dont want to install.

So I tried to install it manually and I get the following error when I
search AD and try to add the printer.

Windows cannot connect to the printer. Operation could not be completed.
(error 0x000000c1)

I got no idea what is going on... is this another F@#! Up of HP?

George,

I did a google search on error 0x000000c1, and found the following guide on
explaining error codes:

http://aumha.org/a/stop.htm

To find the explanation for your error, look at the right column and click
on c1. That click takes you to an explanation and then you can click on a
link that takes you to further troubleshooting steps. I have no idea whether
this will be helpful, but take a look and decide for yourself.
