I have vista premium with aero enabled.
if I move the bar on left side (vertical) the small white strip (light
strip) became more large. There is a solution for delete the white strip
without disable aero interface ?

I don't think that's possible without hacking some system files. Is it really
that annoying?

Considering that the entire taskbar is larger, when positioned at either
side of the desktop, I think the white shaded area is smaller, percentage
wise, than when the taskbar is on the bottom or top of the desktop. That
said, no, I doubt there's a setting to change the size of the white shaded
area.

It's possible to edit the skin file to change some things, but I don't know
if you really want that, because you need to patch some system files, and
editing skins is a lot of work.

If you really want the white strip to be gone, you could use Stardock
WindowBlinds. With this program you can edit skins for Windows Vista. I don’t
really know how that program works, (and if Microsoft appreciates what you’re
doing with it :) ), so I cannot help you with that.
