We purchased 3 new SurfaceBook3's with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 . Each of them have this issue.
Undocked, we have the resolution set to 3000x2000 and scaling percentage at 200%.
We then dock it using the SurfaceDock2 to 2 external monitors. We set everything to extend so there are 3 total monitors.
We then select the Surface display and change it to 1920x1080 resolution and 100% to seamlessly move between our other 2 1080 monitors which are at 100%. It changes and works with no problem.
We then undock and the scaling percentage does not change back to 200%, it stays at 100%.
We have several other SurfaceLaptop3's and SurfaceBook2's where it remembers the previous scaling percentage based on the display environment it was in.
With the SurfaceBook3, it just stays to what it was previously set to... always.
I've also tried this with Miracast and it does the same thing. I change it when connected to Miracast to 125% and it changes fine. But then when I disconnect it stays at 125% and doesn't change back to 200%.
It appears to be a bug specific to the SurfaceBook3, as all my other Dell and Microsoft hardware running Windows 10 20H2 is working fine.
