Hi, I have a problem with an error message that keeps popping up "C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe Error performing inpage

My computer is very slow with this message, "C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe Error performing inpage operation". Previously my computer kept re-starting with the message windows has encountered a problem and has to close and restart computer. I run an up to date Firefox browser. Not sure if these error messages are related. Any ideas what's causing this problem? I regularly defrag and optimise my drive which still shows healthy.
