I have a new Ultimate install, and it works fine, but when I come out of
sleep or hibernation, about 15% of the time, my 1440 reoslution drops down to
a few notches. I then have to manually change the reoslution back up. I have
the 140 Nvidia Vid card.

Do you have the latest video card drivers installed on your computer? I also
don't really get what you mean with the "140 Nvidia card"

Yes, I have the latest drivers. And it is a 140m Quadro Video card from Nvidia

Hmm ok. I still think this is a driver issue, the Vista drivers are very new
and a bit experimental. Maybe you should try this beta driver:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x86_162.22.html

This one also fixed some problems on my computer, but I have no idea if this
will fix yours. This is an unfinished beta driver, so it may cause even more
problems, but you can always change back to the old driver if it still
doesn't work.

I have the 8800GTS NVidia card, and had a number of issues that were finally
solved with the installation of the beta recommended below. However, one
thing I have found is that if I boot without having the monitor switched on,
then my screen resolution is knocked down from the 1680 x xxxx I normally
have it at down to 1440 x xxxx. I believe this to be a combination of the
hardware and its driver, not a Vista issue, 'cause it also happens on my XP
box and my Linux box.
