I recently replaced the Li-ion battery in my laptop (asus) which is running win 10 Build 1909 (less than a week ago)
I ran battery reports from powrcfg/batteryreport but it shows that my battery has its design capacity.
My problem is: Since 2 days ago while i was working on my laptop plugged in, i got the 7% battery warning, so i stopped working and shut down the laptop to let it charge and when the laptop showed full battery indication i plugged it out and used my laptop on battery as ususal. While using i noticed that battery dropped from 100 to 70 normally, then it jumped from 68 to 7% instantly but at 7% i still can use my laptop. Then i tried charging while keeping it on, so then i noticed that it charges normally upto 44% and then its stuck there for like half and hour and then it suddenly jumps to 100%
My question is: is this due to a bad calibration of the battery because of asus's battery health charging feature? (it charges battery to 60 and keeps it there when plugged in, instead of charging to 100)
or does this mean the OEM battery i got is defective? it still holds charge and works, just not the proper percentages.
this is my battery report capacity:
I appreciate your support in this regard! thaaanks
