My HP 2000-427CL Notebook PC came refurbished with 32-bit Windows 7 Home (although capable of 64-bit) originally. It has an AMD E-450 with Radeon HD 6320G.
I want to install Win XP in order to use this older machine to run some legacy games.
I've long since installed Ubuntu 16.04 on the laptop, however, and when I try to install Win XP, I apparently get a driver error. I have had no success finding chipset information for the processor.
First, will this laptop's hardware permit Win XP as an OS?
Second, if I reinstall Win 7, can I then install XP as the sole OS or a dual-boot OS?
Please note that I'm not a hardware or software expert.
Thanks.
