Windows 8 support cycle please?

Hello, I've been looking all over the internet for Windows 8 (not 8.1) support lifecycle, and yielded very confusing results. Some say it ends on the same day as Windows 8.1 support ends (2023), while others state 2016. What is going on here? Could someone please state how long mainstream support is and how long extended support is?
