I started my home pc today, and the screen looked like it was in safe mode, with a 1 inch black border, and when I tried to open Device manager I got a message that states " this version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's information to see whether you need an x86(32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program". I right clicked on my pc in the devices window and under hardware there was an exclamation mark next to the Graphics card, and a note saying that 'windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems code 43 Nvidia'. I tried removing the drivers and installing new drivers but that did not help, I tried to restore to a different time but that did nothing also. I removed the card and reinserted it , and that did not help either. I figured the card was bad, so I bought a new basic Geforce GT710 card and after installing the drivers I did get rid of the 1" black border but the fonts did not look right. I tried setting my resolution , but that did not help. I am still getting the error 43 and still can not open Device Manager. I ran check disk and that fixed nothing, so I am stumped as do what to do next. Can anyone out there help? it would be Greatly Appreciated!!!
