I suddenly lost internet connection in my PC a few days ago. I checked with my phone and the internet was still working so the problem was narrowed down to my PC and the ethernet cable. I've done network reset, uninstalled windows updates and tried to install a new driver but none of it worked. The only adapter that I see on my device manager is the Realtek PCIe adapter but it doesn't show on the change adapter options in windows settings. On the ethernet port, there are two LED's. One of it is orange which means the connection/speed is around 1 Gbps data rate and the other LED blinks from time to time which means that there is data transmission occurring. I'm not entirely sure if this cancels out the possibility that the motherboard itself is defective. Unfortunately, I don't have a system restore point to rollback to a state when the PC was fine. I tried testing with another ethernet cable and it still didn't work. I checked for any VPN's that may have been present but found none.
