Windows 10 not seeing portable MP3 Player

I have a laptop and a Desktop - both PC's with Windows 10. I picked up a portable MP3 player (a SanDisk Clip Sport). When I plug it in to either my laptop or Desktop - neither act like it even exists...cannot see it anywhere. Tried 2 different 2.0 USB cords...tried everything the SanDisk people suggest...but neither computer sees the MP3 Player...can't download music to it without the computers seeing it. (The USB connection "does" charge it, but that's it.)
