Hello folks,
I have an ASUS laptop after replacement failed hard drive.
With replacement a hard drive I also decide to change a version of Windows:
from Windows 8 Home (or Professional)
to Windows 7 Ultimate.
Yes, it's downgrade.
I have a DVD with version which can be installed
and
I have a key for Win 7 Ultimate from one of my other ASUS PC.
Installation was successful - Windows running fine, just not activated.
All my attempts to activate - failed regards that the key in the BIOS didn't match to installed version of Windows.
ASUS support also didn't known how to resolve problem.
My question is:
How do I activate Windows 7 Ultimate when key in the BIOS didn't match the installed version?
Best regards,
A.Murr
P.S. Please do not propose to install Win 10 - it really slow on this laptop.
P.P.S. I try to install some other version of Win 7 Ult - all failed on installation regards that key in the BIOS or the key I have not suitable for those versions.
