Hi all. Following a fresh install of windows 10 home on my Asus notebook L200E (yes, I know it's memory is limited but you can't add more as the memory in this type of device is located on chips on the motherboard, not a proper SSD etc.) Since the install I have had to overcome a few issues, I had no sound, the touchpad didn't work but, with subsequent updates, these have been resolved. I now find an issues which we have tried various ways to overcome but nothing has worked.
before the fresh install, I had on my computer, the visibility of 3 drives, my C drive, an SD card and an external hard drive which I have permanently attached to the notebook via a USB 3 port. Now, when I go to my computer there are only 2 drives visible. My C drive which is almost full, and a D drive with an icon of an SD card. It seems the D drive, however, is the external hard drive, not the SD card. I can't get into the D drive at all, you click on it and It just says inset a disk into the secure D drive. I have also had messages that the volume is invalid so it can't see the contents. Also, the SD card seems to have the Host Controllers visible in the Device manager (2 of them) but it's not recognizing there is a card in the port, or that there are files and information on the card.
Can anyone make sense of this and help sort it out. My old build worked with these drives without any issues.
Thanks.
