Network Adapter Fails to Connect

My mother's laptop (Dell Inspiron), won't connect to the internet. This has happened before, and all I've had to do was uninstall the adapter driver and restart the computer, but I've uninstalled the drivers and when the computer restarts, I still cannot connect.

I've also reset the router and modem, and that didn't work either.

I've typed the following into the command prompt (w/administrator rights)

netsh winsock reset > ENTER (windows resetted this)

netsh int ip reset > ENTER (windows resetted this)

ipconfig /release > ENTER (windows said that there was no permissions for the adapter)

ipconfig /renew > ENTER (windows said that there was no permissions for the adapter)

ipconfig /flushdns > ENTER (I didn't bother with this, since the last 2 didn't work).

Not sure what to try next. My guess, is that after the computer is shutdown for a few hours it'll start working. It's done this before too!

Computers are frustrating and can be a little mysterious in how they fail and start working again. LOLOL
