When I restart an older W10 laptop I own, after the manufacturer logo I see a light blue screen with "Choose an Operating System" at the top. Below that it has two choices.
Windows 10
On volume 5
and
Windows 10
On volume 3
I always select the first one and have never had a problem. I'm not sure how or why it started, but it has been happening ever since I reinstalled Windows years ago. (It may have been an upgrade to W10 from an earlier version, I don't remember).
I am giving the computer away and would like to clean things up. I would assume this duplication of the OS must be using up more space than necessary? Should I worry about it and if so, how to fix it?
Also, can I reinstall Windows from scratch to wipe the computer?
