Hi,
I'd like to find out if a standard license for Windows 7 Professional would allow me to set up my office PC so that I would be able to take remote control of it from home through the internet.
My office PC is on a very basic LAN in which the office PC is assigned a private IP address from a wireless router, and the wireless router (through a cable modem) provides internet address. Our office router/cable modem is not assigned a static IP address from our Internet Service Provider. The public IP address that gets assigned to the router/cable modem can vary from day to day.
I know that I can do what I want with remote control software like TeamViewer, but being TeamViewer charges a fee for commercial use, I am just wondering if Windows Remote Desktop might allow me to do what I want for free.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and best regards,
Paul
