I have been trying to upgrade my Windows 8.1, (upgraded from Windows 8) to Windows 10 multiple times and it always has the same error. I don't have an Nvidia graphics card, never had one on this PC, as this seems to a common issue. I've tried uninstalling McAfee, disabling the firewall, uninstalling large apps/games. There is only one account/user on this PC and plenty of space on the C drive (around 50GB).
I don't want to make a clean install of Windows (ideally). I'd like to keep my files and apps.
So the install/upgrade of Windows goes on, it reboots 2 times the computer with always lots of loading and installing percentages, the usual stuff. And then after maybe 30-45 minutes the computer reboots back to Windows 8.1 undoing modifications and a window pops saying :
This is the end of the C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\Panther\setuperr.log. I don't know if this helps or not.

The installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATE operation.
