There is a complicated error I am getting when I am running Microsoft's .exe installation packages.
I've recently downloaded the C++ redist 2015-2019, both x86 and x64 versions, from the official website here. but when I try to execute the installation package, a window pops up telling me that I must insert the "Visual C++ redist package..." CD in order to proceed with the installation. After digging into the ProgramData\Package Cache folder, I found out that the .exe file does not unpack the necessary .msi files.
Funny thing is that, this exact same message is shown on both Windows 7 64-bit and Windows 10 64-bit + both have the x64 version already installed!!!!
Both installations are kinda fresh (20-30 of January), both have all the .NET Frameworks and both have the latest upgrades (the latest-latest for 7). Tried running the .exe file from C:\ ,on the Admin account, with admin privil, even opening it from an Admin-CMD - but nothing works!!!
How can I fix this and what causes this behavior?
