So, I booted my Windows 7 Pro enabled laptop as normal and was able to log-on via the password check as normal. A calendar utility program then ran as normal (it auto-loads upon log-on). I then cut-and-pasted entries from the previous day to the current day.
It was at this point that the hour-glass symbol or graphic started showing. I then attempted to go into Task Manager via Ctrl-Alt-Del resulting in more delay (hour-glass graphic showing). Eventually Task Manager loaded and under processes I could see WerFault.exe running. I had never seen this process before.
Anyway, to cut this short (I'm loosing patience....), eventually the system stabled, but not sufficiently! It takes much longer to boot-up than normal, Windows Explorer is slow as Task Manager, and even apps like my browser does not run straight away.
I just want to know what on earth happened! The problem was not with the utility calendar program, although it may seem that way, but with Windows Explorer and or Task Manager not running properly.
What do I do hear to get things back to how they were?
