I have a Dell PC running Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1. I am receiving the following error message when attempting to run a backup on my PC to an external hard drive.
Window Backup failed while determining libraries location of one of the users included n the backup.
Details: BitLocker Drive Encryption cannot be used because critical BitLocker system files are missing or corrupted. Use Windows Startup Repair to restore these files to your computer.
From what I can gather BitLocker is not compatible with Windows 7 Home Premium so I don't understand why I am getting that error. When I set up the backup I don't recall anything about BitLocker or even encrypting the backup. A search of "bitlocker" or "BitLocker" on my PC returns zero results.
Appreciate any help or insight that can be offered.
Thanks!
