A Ricoh C250dn W10 compatable printer is connected to my router and shared from my desktop W10 Pro 20H2 pc. The printer was connected to a Dell Win Pro 1909 laptop (and printing) until I upgraded my desktop from 1909 to 20H2 a couple yesterday. At that time the Dell laptop lost its connectivity to the shared printer showing no ports A W10 Pro 20H2 Levovo laptop is still connected and printing.

I upgraded the Dell from 1909 to 20H2 today, after which the Ricoh printer was gone altogether. Adding the printer to the Dell via the shared network name gets a "connecting to <printer name> on <desktop>" and then get a "Windows cannot connect to the printer. Connection failed with error 0x0000052f" Workgroup is HOME on all three machines and a powershell Get-NetConnectionProfile is Private.

I believe 0x0000052f is "Logon failure: user account restriction". All three pc's have netplwiz "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" checked and have NO password, therefore each pc boots without requiring a logon. Password protected sharing is turned on for All Networks. These are the settings that have been in place for years since Win7 and until I upgraded the desktop from 1909 to 20H2 the Ricoh printer was shared and worked on the Dell and in fact, still does on the Lenovo??
