Computer won’t accept my password in advanced repair

My computer cant boot properly and only displays a black screen with the mouse. I eventually was able tonget to the repairs screen after rebooting the pc multiple times but when I tried both automatic repair and refresh, both of them required an admin password. I asked my mom for it but it didnt work. What can I do?
