I reported this problem a couple of weeks ago, but the message has disappeared. The problem is that the printer won't print double-sided, or can't be found on the network (wired or Wi-Fi). This happened after the latest Windows 10 update. The support from the community involved downloading a Windows 10 update from a link that gave the error message - 'The update is not compatible with your computer'.

There appears to be a problem with Windows 10 version 20H2. The driver is damaged/overwritten/not compatible/ignored. There is apparently a problem with the printer driver.

This is the 'temporary' solution.

Go to the HP website and download the driver for the OfficeJet 100 Mobile L411.

Add a new printer. Select HP OfficeJet Pro K8600

Add a new port - USB, TCPIP, Wireless etc. Allow the file to create a desktop link. And use it to install the printer.

From the list of printers select HP OfficeJet Pro X551 Class Driver.

Go to printer properties and customize, and device settings. Check that the duplex unit is installed.

Go to preferences and select 'flip on long edge/short edge' as required. (Default is blank so you MUST select something!)

This now works on my PC (HP), 2 laptops (HP and ACER) and a netbook (ACER).

HP can be contacted on WhatsApp as HP Support Ireland (within Europe) or your local assistance centre.
