Udate Vista To Windows 7.

Back in 2009, I updated my Wife's Dell Windows Vista Home Premium computer to Windows 7 and eventually to Windows 10. At the time I had a Dell Windows Vista Home premium laptop but didn't update because my third party software would not be compatible, but I wonder now if I can still update my laptop to Windows7. I have carried out a thorough search but found information both confusing and contradictory.


Can any please advise and help?
