Laptop stuck on mute

I muted my sound for a meeting and now I cannot unmute my laptop.Everytime I raise the volume it automatically reduces itself and goes back to mute.The keyboard unmuting does not work.The screen unmuting does not work.I have shut off the laptop overnight and it does not work.
