Windows 7 Installation hangs at "Expanding Windows files (0%)..."

Hi all. So i'm trying to install Windows 7 Professional 32-bit SP1 in a VM , but there is a problem. the installer hangs at "Expanding Windows files (0%)...". any help is appreciated. thanks.
