Windows 7 activation key not working in VMware

Hi,I have the windows 7 seven key generated from my.visualstudio subscription via my organization account. I installed VMWare and I was trying to activate windows 7 7 in it but it doesn't recognize the key.Do these keys not work inside VMWare ? I am also attaching a screenshot of the error that I am receiving.ThanksKC
