Headset microphone not recognized by windows ( laptop )

I have windows7 on a Asus laptop. I am trying to use my headset but i can only hear trough it. The microphone is not recognized. i went in settings --> recording devices and checked the settings but it s not available. i only have Stereo mix with the image of a audio card/graphic card and Microphone. Tried
