BSoD after switching to IDE Mode.

Acer aspire one 722 running Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 here. I switched the SATA Mode to IDE. and when i started up the computer, it froze, Then gave me a BSoD for Half a second. Luckily, i was able to switch it back to the previous setting.
