Screen brightness became too dim after a button-mash, regular settings do not help.

My kitten was walking over the left part of the keyboard and clearly messed something up, immediately the screen brightness became dim at max. When I boot the laptop it's got its normal brightness (and somehow keyboard brightness is at 100% too, but I always kept it at 0%), but when I try to adjust it - the max brightness becomes too dim again. Regular settings as adjusting brightness with a slider and through battery settings do not help. I have Windows 10 Home.
