xp dvd not working

Hi, I created an xp dvd from CDBurnerXP, and I can't get it to boot, I tried 3 different systems and with no luck. 2 of the computers just showed a blinking cursor with a black screen and automatically skipped to the main operating system, while the dell optiplex showed a "selected boot device failed. press any key to reboot the system" message. Any help will be greatly appreciated
