Windows 7 desktop access to Veriizon Orbic speed hotspot

I have a Microsoft Virtual WIFI miniport that is not connected, can I use this. If so hoe do I connect it? I had used a Cisco routing device which worked with my Jetpack but was told it would not work now. Is there some device similar that would work?
