hi,

I was using OPERA webbrowser when I inadvertently downloaded this pest (as
above)
Does that mean that my microsoft iexplorer is clean and that I wont have any
problems provided that I dont use OPERA anymore?

Opera is fine. You fell for what is called Social Engineering.

You don't have to admit it but, more often than not, Video ActiveX is associated with fake
codec software that comes from trying to view a p0rn video. Their objective is to make you
think that to view the video you need their software. Video ActiveX is associated with
FakeAlert and ZLob Trojans.

Two part reply..

Perform Part 1 then perform Part 2.

If the first two parts don't work, perform the alternate section.

It is suggested that you execute each tool in Normal Mode then in Safe Mode.

Part 1
-----------

Use noahdfear's SmitFraud, SpyAxe, SpyFalcon, et. al., removal tool -- SmitRem.exe

Part 2
-----------

S!ri's SmitfraudFix
