Reusing Windows 7 Home Prem Product Key.

I have an old Compaq Presario CQ62, and it came from factory with windows 7 home premium, OA. It was upgraded to Windows 10, and a few years ago, the charger stopped working and it is now unusable unless I buy a charger, which I don't want to do. It has still got its windows 7 product key on the sticker, so, would I be able to reuse this key on a new computer build, to upgrade to Windows 10?
